Michael Makaroff is a Vancouver-based director who’s passionate about all things film. He’s collaborated with esteemed brands including Arc’teryx, P&G, BC Cancer and BC & Alberta Milk. Raised in Victoria, Michael tries to balance a connection to nature (touching grass) and his passion for story (sitting in front of screens, writing, watching, self-actualizing). He is an award-winning narrative filmmaker & screenwriter who has also directed music videos for Grammy and Juno Award-winning artists such as Alex Cuba, Jill Barber, Luca Fogale, and Jon & Roy. His work, described once by someone as 'Industrial Melancholy', he makes work with grit, that feels human and that connects with real people.
