Devan Head is a Metis photographer and storyteller hailing from a small rural town in Northern British Columbia, Canada. His upbringing, blessed with the freedom to explore and enjoy his surroundings, has profoundly shaped his approach to photography. Devan attributes his love for the outdoors, his perpetual quest for adventure, and his deep passion for community to these formative experiences. Influenced by his late father and late grandfather, he was fortunate to grow up immersed in Cree culture, learning about its rich heritage and developing a deep & profound love for it.
What began as a hobby has evolved into a passion for storytelling. His calm and compassionate approach distinguishes his work, allowing him to tell more thoughtful and authentic stories. Devan's reverence for the land and its people is evident, as he draws inspiration from nature to craft his images. If he can encourage others to also admire, care for, and love these lands that live through his work - that's still the biggest win for him.
